FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Are there memberships available?

A. Membership is currently full. However, we are in the process of planning our next expansion and aircraft purchase. We are interested in adding a fourth aircraft to our current fleet of three. If you are interested in participating contact us.

Q: How much does it cost to join?

A: We expect the equity share buy-in to the expanded club (4-airplane club) to be about $3600.

Q: Are there monthly dues?

A: Yes. $140 per month cover the costs of owning all three airplanes.

Q: How much do the aircraft cost to fly?

A. The Cessna 172 is about $80/hour, the 172SP is about $90/hour, and the Cessna 182 is about $100/hour. These are wet rates measured by the tachometer and include a fuel surcharge that fluctuates based on the current fuel price - rates can and do vary. We challange you to find better rates for comparable aircraft ANYWHERE!

Q: Does the club have an affiliated flight instructor available for training?

A: As a matter of fact, we do.

Q: Where are the aircraft located?

A: All three planes are tied down just north of the control tower on the west side of Van Nuys Airport. There is a restroom at the parking area.
